The Devices page in the IXEL Dashboard lists every device in your mesh: whether it’s connected, its addresses, its system and its IXEL Mesh version.
Device details
Click a device’s name to see everything about it: its addresses, when it was added, when its sign-in expires, and examples of how to connect to it from your other devices.
Rename a device
Names are how your devices reach each other, so pick something short and memorable, like nas or gpu-box.
- Open the device in the Dashboard.
- Under Device name, type the new name and choose Save.
Names use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, and are unique among your devices. Your other devices pick up the new name within a second.
Remove a device
- Open the device, or use the ⋯ menu next to it in the list.
- Choose Remove, check it’s the right device, and confirm.
The device is disconnected from your other devices within seconds, and IXEL Mesh on it stops with a message saying it was removed. To bring it back, open IXEL Mesh on it and sign in again.
Device limits
The Free plan includes up to 5 devices. When you reach the limit, remove a device you no longer use before adding another. See Plans and limits.
